摘要 Epithelialovariancancer(EOC)istheleadingcauseofdeathamongallgynecologicalmalignancies.Despitethetechnologicalandmedicaladvancesoverthepastfourdecades,suchasthedevelopmentofseveralbiologicalmarkers(mRNAandproteinsbiomarkers),themortalityrateofovariancancerremainsachallengebecauseofitslatediagnosis,whichisspecificallyattributedtolowspecificitiesandsensitivities.Underthiscompulsivescenario,recentadvancesinexpressionbiologyhaveshiftedinidentifyinganddevelopingspecificandsensitivebiomarkers,suchasmicroRNAs(miRNAs)forcancerdiagnosisandprognosis.MiRNAsareanovelclassofsmallnon-codingRNAsthatderegulategeneexpressionattheposttranscriptionallevel,eitherbytranslationalrepressionorbymRNAdegradation.Thesemechanismsmaybeinvolvedinacomplexcascadeofcellulareventsassociatedwiththepathophysiologyofmanytypesofcancer.MiRNAsareeasilydetectableintissueandbloodsamplesofcancerpatients.Therefore,miRNAsholdgoodpromiseaspotentialbiomarkersinovariancancer.Inthisreview,weattemptedtoprovideacomprehensiveprofileofkeymiRNAsinvolvedinovariancarcinomatoestablishmiRNAsasmorereliablenon-invasiveclinicalbiomarkersforearlydetectionofovariancancercomparedwithproteinandDNAbiomarkers.
