A switchable and tunable ytterbium-doped fiber ring laser with a Sagnac loop mirror-中国期刊网

摘要 Aswitchableandtunableytterbium-dopedfiberringlaser(YDFL)isreportedanddemonstrated.EmployingaSagnacloopmirrorfabricatedbyan85-cm-longpolarization-maintainingfiber(PMF),theproposedYDFLcanoperatewithstabledual-wavelengthlasingortunablesingle-wavelengthlasingaround1064nm.Bothstabledual-wavelengthlasingandtunablesingle-wavelengthlasingareachievedbyadjustingapolarizationcontrollerintheSagnacloopmirror.Theexperimentalresultsshowthattheoutputoftheproposedfiberlaserwithtwodifferentoperationmodesisratherstableatroomtemperature.
