摘要
Theultra-finegrain(UFG)steelisweldedbyusingresistancespotweldingtechniquewithorwithoutrequirementofupsettingforce.Metallographicinspectionshowsthatthegrainsizeofweldnuggetislargerthanthatofthebasemetalandthemicrostructureisalteredsignificantly.Inaddition,contractingdefectssuchasairholescanbefoundinthenuggetcenter.Theexperimentsshowthatthedefectscanbeeffectivelyavoidedbythetechniqueofaddingupsettingforceduringthenuggetcoolingandcrystallizingprocesses.Intensilesheartests,theweldingjointstartstocrackfromtheinneredgeofthecoronabond.Theresultsofmicro-hardnesstestsshowthatthenewlybornmartensitestructuredramaticallyimprovesthehardnessofthejoint.Undertheinteractionsbetweenresidualstressesandregeneratedfinegrains,themicro-hardnessoftheheat-affectedzone(HAZ)islowerthanthatofthenugget,butevidentlyhigherthanthatofthebasemetal.
