Parameter Optimisation of Stress-strain Constitutive Equations Using Genetic Algorithms

摘要 Theaccuracyofnumericalsimulationsandmanyothermaterialdesigncalculations,suchastherollingforce,rollingtorque,etc.,dependsonthedescriptionofstress-strainrelationshipofthedeformedmaterials.Onecommonmethodofdescribingthestress-strainrelationshipisusingconstitutiveequations,withtheunknownparametersfittedbyexperimentaldataobtainedviaplanestraincompression(PSC).DuetothehighlynonlinearbehaviouroftheconstitutiveequationsandthenoiseincludedinthePSCdata,determinationofthemodelparametersisdifficult.Inthispaper,geneticalgorithmswereexploitedtooptimiseparametersfortheconstitutiveequationsbasedonthePSCdata.TheoriginalPSCdatawereprocessedtogeneratethestress-straindata,anddatapre-processingwascarriedouttoremovethenoisecontainedintheoriginalPSCdata.Severalgeneticoptimisationschemeshavebeeninvestigated,withdifferentcodingschemesanddifferentgeneticoperatorsforselection,crossoverandmutation.Itwasfoundthattherealvaluecodedgeneticalgorithmsconvergedmuchfasterandweremoreefficientfortheparameteroptimisationproblem.
