Solar Energy System with Digital Controller for Grid Connected Systems

摘要 Thesolarphotovoltaic(PV)moduleoutputvoltagechangesaccordingtothevariationoflightintensityandtemperature.ThispaperpresentstheimplementationofanautomaticdigitalcontrollerofaDC-DCboostconverterwithoutbatteriesforasolarcellmodulebyusingaperipheralinterfacecontroller,whichformsaclosedloop,tocontroltheON-OFFperiodoftheswitchingpulse.TheoutputofDC-DCconverterismaintainedbyautomaticallyincreasingordecreasingthepulsewidth.Toproducethepulsewidthmodulation(PWM),themicrocontrollerisprogrammedaccordingtotherequireddutycycleforthepowerswitch.ThePWMONperiodisincreasedwiththedecreaseinthePVvoltageandvice-versa.TheinputvoltagetotheinverterismaintainedconstantlyandisconvertedintoanACsignalbyusingthemetal-oxide-semiconductorfieldeffecttransistor(MOSFET)H-bridgeoperatedinthesinusoidalpulsewidthmodulationmodebyusingaPIC(peripheralinterfacecontroller)microcontroller.ThegeneratedACsignalcanbeconnectedtotheACgridortotheACload.ThesimulatedresultsbyusingProteus8andhardwareimplementedresultsverifytheeffectivenessoftheproposedcontroller.
