Automatic Image—Based Pencil Sketch Rendering-中国期刊网

摘要 Thispaperpresentsanautomaticimage-basedapproachforconvertinggreyscaleimagestopencilsketches,inwhichstrokesfollowtheimagefeatures.ThealgorithmfirstextractsadensedirectionfieldautomaticallyusingLogical/Linearoperatorswhichembodythedrawingmechanism.Next,areconstructionapproachbasedonasampling-and-interpolationschemeisintroducedtogeneratestrokepathsfromthedirectionfield.Finally,pencilstrokesarerenderedalongthespecifiedpathswithconsiderationofimagetoneandartificialillumination.Asanimportantapplication,thetechniqueisappliedtorenderportraitsfromimageswithlittleuserinteraction.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratethattheapproachcanautomaticallyachievecompellingpencilsketchesfromreferenceimages.
