EFFECTS OF A TOXICANT ON A SINGLE-SPECIES POPULATION WITH PARTIAL POLLUTION TOLERANCE IN A POLLUTED ENVIRONMENT-中国期刊网

摘要 Westudyamodelforthelong-termbehaviorofasingle-speciespopulationwithsomedegreeofpollutiontoleranceinapollutedenvironment.Themodelconsistsofthreeordinarydifferentialequations:oneforthepopulationdensity,onefortheamountoftoxicantinsidethelivingorganisms,andonefortheamountoftoxicantintheenvironment.Wederivesufficientconditionsforthepersistenceandtheextinctionofthepopulationdependingontheexogenousinputrateofthetoxicantintotheenvironmentandthelevelofpollutiontoleranceoftheorganisms.Numericalsimulationsarecarriedouttoillustrateourmainresults.
