Periodic surface structures on Ni–Fe film induced by a single femtosecond laser pulse with diffraction rings

摘要 ThisLetterreportstheformationofperiodicsurfacestructuresonNi–Fefilmirradiatedbyasinglefemtosecondlaserpulse.Aconcavelenswithafocuslengthof-150mmisplacedinfrontofanobjective(100×,NA=0.9),whichtransformstheGaussianlaserfieldintoaringdistributionbytheFresneldiffraction.Periodicripplesformontheablationareaaftertheirradiationofasinglefemtosecondlaserpulse,whichdependsonthelaserpolarizationandlaserfluence.Weproposethattheringstructureofthelaserfieldleadstoasimilartransientdistributionofthepermittivityonthesamplesurface,whichfurtherlaunchesthesurfaceplasmonpolaritons.Theinteractionoftheincidentlaserwithsurfaceplasmonpolaritonsdominatestheformationofperiodicsurfacestructures.
