摘要
TheProgramofCocinasComunitariasinthestateofOaxaca,Mexicobenefitschildrenaged6to12whoattendprimaryeducationschoolsinlow-incomemunicipalities.Itishopedthatthisfoodassistanceprogramwillallowchildrentolearnbetteranddeveloplearningskills.Inthisway,asignificantreductioninthegradefailureratesanddropoutratesisexpected,whichwillbereflectedinahighergraduationefficiencyrates.Infact,thecontributionofthisworkconsistsofamethodologyfortheanalysisoftheimpactofthefoodsubsidyontheacademicperformanceoflow-incomeprimaryeducationstudents.Inthissense,amultivariatemodelwasconstructedtoanalyzetheinterrelationshipsbetweengradefailure,dropout,graduationefficiencyrates,foodsubsidy,andthesocio-demographiccharacteristicsofthepopulationthatattendsprimaryeducation.TheMexicangovernmentexpectsfromthisprogramthatthemorelow-incomechildrencompleteprimaryeducation,themorelikelythatahighernumberofadolescentswillcompletehighschooleducation.Thisschemeisveryimportantforthecountry’shalfpopulationlivinginpovertyandespeciallyinOaxacaStatewhichisoneofpooreststates.
