Asoneofthemostinfluentialandleadingintellectualhistoriansintheworld,QuentinSkinnerhasofferedaseriesofoutstandingworkscenteringonthehistoryofearlymodernEuropeforthepastfewdecades.HisearlyworksontheFoundationofearlymodernpoliticalthought,andmonographicstudiesonMachiavelliandHobbesshapedthewayagenerationunderstandsthepoliticalthoughttoalargeextent,whilehiscontinuingengagementinmethodologicaldebatesprovidesanewapproachforstudentsandfellowresearcherstoconductthestudyofintellectualhistory.
