摘要 Laser-inducedbreakdownspectroscopy(LIBS)isapromisinganalyticalspectroscopytechnologybasedonspectroscopicanalysisoftheradiationemittedbylaser-producedplasma.However,forquantitativeanalysisbyLIBS,theso-calledself-absorptioneffectsonthespectrallines,whichaffectplasmacharacteristics,emissionlineshapes,calibrationcurves,etc,cannolongerbeneglected.Hence,understandinganddeterminingtheself-absorptioneffectsareofutmostimportancetoLIBSresearch.Thepurposeofthisreviewistoprovideaglobaloverviewofself-absorptioninLIBSontheissuesofexperimentalobservationsandadverseeffects,physicalmechanisms,correctionoreliminationapproaches,andutilizationsinthepastcentury.Webelievethatbetterunderstandingandeffectivesolvingtheself-absorptioneffectwillfurtherenhancethedevelopmentandmaturityofLIBS.
