Usingastrongnonlinearsaturationabsorptioneffectisonetechniqueforbreakingthroughthediffractionlimit.Inthistechnique,formationofadynamicandreversibleopticalpinholechannelandtransientsuperresolutioniscritical.Inthiswork,apump–probetransientdetectionandobservation–experimentalsetupisconstructedtoexploretheformationprocessdirectly.AGe2Sb2Te5thinfilmwithstrongnonlinearsaturationabsorptionisinvestigated.Thedynamicevolutionoftheopticalpinholechannelisdetectedandimaged,andthetransientsuperresolutionspotisdirectlycapturedexperimentally.Resultsverifythatthesuperresolutioneffectoriginatesfromthegenerationofanopticalpinholechannelandthattheformationoftheopticalpinholechannelisdynamicandreversible.Agoodmethodisprovidedfordirectdetectionandobservationofthetransientprocessofthesuperresolutioneffectofnonlinearthinfilms.
