摘要 Abstract:TheP24antigentest,HIVRNAPCRtest,HIVisolation/cultureandfourth-generationHIVuniformAg/AbassayarebeingutilizedindiagnosingacuteHIVinfectionindifferentlabs.ManyfactorslimittheuseofscreeningforacuteHIVinhigh-riskpopulations,inblooddonorsandduringvoluntaryHIVtesting,including,cost,technique,sensitivityandspecificity.InthisreviewweexploreanewNAATmethodwhichinvolvesHIVRNART-PCRonpooledsamples.Thistechniqueisabletoscreenforacuteinfectionsinalargetestingvolumeandmayheusedasascreeningmethodinhigh-riskpopulationsandblooddonors.
