Edge detection of molten pool and weld line for CO2 welding based on B-spline wavelet

摘要 Duetothedisturbancesofspatters,dustsandstrongarclight,itisdifficulttodetectthemoltenpooledgeandtheweldlinelocationinCO2weldingprocesses.Themedianfilteringandself-multiplicationwasemployedtopreprocesstheimageoftheCO2weldinginordertodetecteffectivelytheedgeofmoltenpoolandthelocationofweldline.TheB-splinewaveletalgorithmhasbeeninvestigated,theinfluenceofdifferentscalesandthresholdsontheresultsoftheedgedetectionhavebeencomparedandanalyzed.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatbetterperformancetoextracttheedgeofthemoltenpoolandthelocationofweldlinecanbeobtainedbyusingtheB-splinewavelettransform.Theproposededgedetectionapproachcanbefurtherappliedtothecontrolofmoltendepthandtheseamtracking.
