摘要
AftertheprogressivecollapseofRonanPointapartmentinUKin1968,intensiveresearchefforthadbeenspentondevelopingguidelinesfordesignofneworstrengtheningtheexistingstructurestopreventprogressivecollapse.However,onlyveryfewbuildingdesigncodesprovidesomerathergeneralguidance,nodetaileddesignrequirementisgiven.ProgressivecollapseoftheAlfredP.MurrahFederalbuildinginOklahomaCityandtheWorldTradeCentre(WTC)sparkedagaintremendousresearchinterestonprogressivecollapseofstructures.Recently,USDepartmentofDefence(DoD)andUSGeneralServiceAdministration(GSA)issuedguidelinesforstructureprogressivecollapseanalysis.Thesetwoguidelinesaremostcommonlyused,buttheiraccuracyisnotknown.Thispaperpresentsnumericalanalysisofprogressivecollapseofanexampleframestructuretoblastloads.TheDoDandGSAproceduresarealsousedtoanalysethesameexamplestructure.Numericalresultsarecomparedanddiscussed.Theaccuracyandtheapplicabilityofthetwodesignguidelinesareevaluated.
