摘要 Thestabilitycharacteristicsoflaminarboundarylayersovercompliantwallswasstudiedbythelineartheory.Unlikethepreviousauthors,thecoupledmotionofthefluidandsolidwasrequiredtosat-isfythecontinuityconditionsofboththevelocityandstressattheinterface.Resultsofcalculationsshowthatasthespeedratioordensityratioexceedsacertainthresholdvalue,thetwotypesofunstablewaveswillnolongerbedistinguishable,andthetangentialcomponentofthedisturbancestressisnolongernegligi-ble.Sotheneglectofit,asthepreviousauthorsdid,isunjustified.
