简介:Asthetraditionalcharacter-orientedframesynchronizationmethodsarenolongerapplicabletothebyte-misalignedstream,andtheefficiencyofthebit-orientedmethodishardlyacceptable,acharacter-orientedbit-shiftstreamframesynchronization(COBS-FS)methodispresented.Inordertomeasuretheperformanceofthegivenmethod,abit-orientedframesynchronizationmethod,basedonKnuth-Morris-Pratt(KMP-FS)algorithm,isusedforcomparison.ItisprovenintheorythattheCOBS-FShasamuchlowercostinframeheadersearching.ExperimentshowsthattheCOBS-FSmethodiswithbetterperformancethantheKMP-FSalgorithminbothcomputationaleffortandexecutiontime.
简介:TheperiodiccellstreamisaveryimportantmemberamongtheinputtrafficsourcesinATMnetworks.Inthispaper,afinite-bufferedATMmultiplexerwithtrafficsourcescomposedofaperiodiccellstream,multiplei.i.dBernoullicellstreamsandburstytwo-stateMarkovModulatedBernoulliProcess(MMBP)cellstreamsisexactlyanalyzed.Theprobabilitymassfunctionofqueuingdelay,theautocorrelationandpowerspectrumofdelayjitterforthisperiodiccellstreamarederived.TheanalysisisusedtoexposethebehaviorofdelayjitterforaperiodiccellstreamthroughanATMmultiplexerinaburstytrafficenvironment.Thesimulationresultsindicatethattheanalyticalresultsareaccurate.
