Interaction energy of interface dislocation loops in piezoelectric bi-crystals

Interfacedislocationsmaydramaticallychangetheelectricproperties,suchaspolarization,ofthepiezoelectriccrystals.Inthispaper,westudythelinearinteractionsoftwointerfacedislocationloopswitharbitraryshapeingenerallyanisotropicpiezoelectricbi-crystals.Asimpleformulaforcalculatingtheinteractionenergyoftheinterfacedislocationloopsisderivedandgivenbyadoublelineintegralalongtwocloseddislocationcurves.Particularly,interactionsbetweentwostraightsegmentsoftheinterfacedislocationsaresolvedanalytically,whichcanbeappliedtoapproximateanycurvedloopsothatananalyticalsolutioncanbealsoachieved.Numericalresultsshowtheinfluenceofthebi-crystalinterfaceaswellasthematerialorientationontheinteractionofinterfacedislocationloops.
