Theskyradianceanddegreeofpolarizationwithmultiplescatteringprocessconsideredwerecalculatedinthispaperbysolvingvectorformradiativetransferequationiteratively.Numericalexperimentforsimultaneouslyretrivingthesizedistribution(SD)andthecomplexrefractiveindex(CRI)ofaerosolparticlewasconductedwiththedegreeofpolarizationofskylight(DPS)andthelibrarymethodused.ItisshownfromtheresultsthattherealpartofCRIisalwayssensitivetoDPS.ButsituationissomewhatcomplicatedfortheimaginarypartofCRI.Therefore,itisexpectedthattherealpartofCRIcanberetrievedfromDPSanditsimaginarypartshouldberetrievedastheparticleislargeinsize.Inthispaper,sevensetsofDPSmeasurementson6January,1990inBeijingweregivenandtheopticalcharacteristicsofaerosolwereretrieved.
