Theenergybarriersofthermaldecarboxylationreactionsofpetroleumacidsandcatalyticdecar-boxylationreactionsofBrnstedacidandLewisacidwereanalyzedusingmolecularsimulationtechnology.Comparedwiththermaldecarboxylationreactionsofpetroleumacids,thedecarboxylationreactionsbyacidcatalystswereeasiertooccur.ThedecarboxylatoneffectbyLewisacidwasbetterthanBrnstedacid.Themechanismsofcatalyticdecarboxylationoveracidcatalystwerealsoverifiedbyexperimentsonafixedbedandafluidizedbed,theexperimentalresultsshowedthattherateofacidremovalcouldreachupto97%overtheacidiccatalystatatemperatureabove400.
