简介:Atunableandswitchabledual-wavelengtherbium-dopedfiberlaser(EDFL)basedonall-fibersingle-modetaperedfiberstructurehasbeendemonstrated.Byadjustingthevariableopticalattenuator(VOA),thelasercanbeswitchedbetweenthesingle-wavelengthmodeandthedual-wavelengthmode.Whenthetemperatureappliedonthetaperedfiberstructurevaries,thepass-bandvariesandthewavelengthoftheoutputlasershiftscorrespondingly.Whenthetemperaturechangesfrom30°Cto180°C,thecentralwavelengthoftheEDFLgeneratedbybranchAshiftsfrom1550.7nmto1560.3nm,whilethatofbranchBshiftsfrom1530.8nmto1540.4nm,indicatingthewavelengthintervalistunable.Theseadvantagesenablethislasertobeapotentialcandidateforhigh-capacitywavelengthdivisionmultiplexingsystemsandmechanicalsensors.
