  • 简介:Themovementofwaterflowinunsaturatedfracturedrockwasinvestigatedwiththesandstonesamplethroughexperimentalresearchandnumericalsimulation.Theexperimentalresultsshowthatthearrivingtimeofwettingfrontisdelayedbythefracture,resultingintheincreaseofwatersaturationinthedomainontheupstreamsideofthefracture,whichwilllocallyenhancewaterflowthroughthematrix.Thenumericalsimulationwiththefinitevolumemethodcaptureseffectivelythesecharacteristics.Thecomparisonbetweensimulatedandobservedtraveltimeandarrivingtimeofwettingfrontshowsthattheirdifferenceareverysmallandthesimulatedresultsareinagreementwiththeobservedresults,whichimpliescalibratedparametersarereliableandeffective.Thenaccordingtothecalibratedparameters,fracturedmodelswereestablishedtoexaminehowthechangeoflargefracturedaperturewouldaffectthearrivingtimeofwettingfronts,pressureheadsandwatersaturationontheupstreamanddownstreamsidesoffracture.

  • 简介:Thispapermakesthethermodynamicanalysisinforcedconvectiveflowofathirdgradefluidthroughaverticalchannel.Duetothereactivenatureofthefluid,theeffectofinternalheatgenerationisconsideredandassumedtobealinearfunctionoftemperature.ThecouplednonlineardimensionlessordinarydifferentialequationsgoverningthefluidflowaresolvedbyusingtheAdomiandecompositionmethod(ADM).Theeffectsofvariousphysicalparameterssuchasthirdgradematerialparameter,buoyancyparameterandheatgenerationparameteronthethermalstructureofflowarepresentedanddiscussed.

  • 简介:TheresponseoftheSouthChinaSea(SCS)toTyphoonChanchu(2006)wasexaminedusingtheMM5andPOMmodel.InthePOMmodel,seasurfaceboundaryconditionswereforcedbythesimulationwindfieldfromMM5,thevelocityforcingwasintroducedintheeasternboundaryandthecomputationalschemesofheatfluxesatthesurfacewereintroduced.Comparisonwiththeobservationdatashowsthatthesimulatedresultsarereliable.IntheresponseprocessoftheSCStoTyphoonChanchu,theinfluenceoftheheatfluxesonthermalstructureoftheSCSwasregionallydifferent.Strongwindforcingwouldleadtoupwellingphenomenoninthelateralboundaryofdeepwaterbasin.Furthermore,theEkmanpumpingtheorywasusedtodiscusssubsurfaceupwellinganddownwellingphenomenonintyphoonforcedstage.

  • 简介:Anon-linearturbulenthydrodynamicmodelwasproposedbyZhanandLi(1993)usingthelargeeddysimulationapproachanddirectionaleddyviscositymethod.Themodelissimplifiedinthispaperandisappliedtotheproblemofasidedischargeintoopen-channelflow,whereareeireulationzonedevelopsdownstreamofthedischarge.Thenumericalresultsarecomparedwithexperimentalresults(StrazisarandPrahl(1973)andMikhail,Chu,andSavage(1975))andpreviousnumericalresultsobtainedusingak-εmodel(McGuirkandRodi,1978).Theagreementisgood.
