简介:AtFermilab'sCDFfarmamodularandhighlyscalablesoftwareandcontrolsystemforprocessing,reprocessing,MonteCarlogenerationandmanyothertaskshasbeencreated.ThesystemiscalledFPS(FarmProcessingSystem).Thissystemconsistsofindependentsoftwarecomponentsandallowsmodificationstosuitothertypesofprocessingaswell.FPSisaccompaniedwithfullyfeaturedmonitoringandcontrolinterfaces,includingwebstatisticsdisplaysandamultiplatformJavacontrolinterfacethatalloweasymanagementandcontrol.Thesystemalsofeaturesautomaticerrorrecoveryprocedureswithearlywarningsthatallowsmoothrunning.Ageneraloverviewofthesoftwaredesingalongwithadescriptionofthefeaturesandlimitationsofthesystemanditscomponentswillbepresented.Run2experiencewiththesystemwillbegiveraswell.
简介:DigitizationfromGEANTtrackingrequiresapredictablesequenceofstepstoproducerawsimulateddetectorreadoutinformation.Wehavedevelopedasoftwareframeworkthatsimplifiesthedevelopmentandintegrationofdigitizersbyseparatingthecoordinationactivities(sequencinganddispatching)fromtheactualdigitizationprocess.Thisseparationallowsthedevelopersofdigitizerstoconcentrateondigitization.Theframeworkprovidesthesequencinginfrastructureandadigitizermodel,whichmeansthatalldigitizersarerequiredtofollowthesamesequencingrulesandprovideaninterfacethatfitsthemodel.
简介:TheCDFexperimentstarteddatatakinginApril2001,Thedataareorganizedintodatasetswhichcontaineventsofsimilarphysicspropertiesandreconstructionversion.theinformationaboutdatasetsisstoredintheDataFileCatalog,arelationaldatabase.Thisinformationispresentedtothedataprocessingframeworkasobjectswhichareretrievedusingcompoundkeys.Theobjectsandthekeysaredesignedtobethealgorithms'viewofinformationstoredinthedatabase.ObjectsmayuseseveralDBtables.Adatabaseinterfacemanagementlayerexistsforthepurposeofmanagingthemappingofpersistentdatatotransientobjectsthatcanbeusedbytheframework.Thislayerexistsbetweenthealgorithmcodeandthecodewhichreadsdirectlyfromdatanbasetables.Attheuserend,itplacesget/putinterfaceonatopofatransientclassforretrievalorstorageofobjectsofthisclassusingakey.DataFileCatalogcodemakesuseofthisfacilityandcontainsallthecodeneededtomanipulateCDFDataFileCatalogfromaC++programorfromthecommandprompt,ItsupportsanOracleinterfaceusingOTL,andamSQLinterface,ThiscodeandtheOravcleimplementationofDataFileCatalogweresubjectedtotestduringCDFCommissioningRunlastfallandduringfirstweeksofRunIIinApril.Itperformedexceptionallywell.
