  • 简介:NumericalsimulationsoftheflowinthedrafttubeofaFrancisturbinearecarriedoutinordertoelucidatetheeffectsoftangentialvelocityonflowstability.Influenceofthelocationofthemaximumtangentialvelocityisexploredconsideringtheequalityofthetotalenergyattheinletofthedrafttube.Itisfoundthattheamplitudeofthepressurefluctuationdecreaseswhenthelocationofthemaximumofthetangentialvelocitymovesfromthecentretothewallonthecrosssection.Thus,thestabilityoftheflowinthedrafttubeincreaseswiththemovingofthelocationofthemaximumtangentialvelocity.However,therelativehydrauliclossincreasesandtherecoverycoefficientofthedrafttubedecreasesslightly.

  • 简介:Toreproducetheprematureruptureprocessofmetalsheetsubjectedtolaserirradiationwithsubsonicairflow,whichisaninterestingphenomenonobservedintheexperimentsgivenbyLawrenceLivermoreNationalLaboratory,acouplednumericalmodelconsideringtheinteractionandevolutionofmetalelastoplasticdeformationandaerodynamicpressureprofileispresented.Withthethermalelastoplasticconstitutiverelationshipandfailurecriterion,thesimulatedfailuremodesanddynamicruptureprocessarebasicallyconsistentwiththeexperimentalresults,indicatingplasticflowandmultiplefracturingisthemainfailuremechanism.Comparedwiththecaseofnon-airflow,subsonicairflownotonlyacceleratesdeformation,butalsoturnsthebugledeformation,plasticstrainandrupturemodeintoasymmetric.

  • 简介:Aclosed-formsolutionforpredictingthetangentialstressofaninclusionlocatedinmixedmodeⅠandⅡcracktipfieldwasdevelopedbasedontheEshelbyequivalentinclusiontheory.Thenamixedmodefracturecriterion,includingthefracturedirectionandthecriticalload,wasestablishedbasedonthemaximumtangentialstressintheinclusionforbrittleinclusioninducedfracturematerials.Theproposedfracturecriterionisafunctionoftheinclusionfracturestress,itssizeandvolumefraction,aswellastheelasticconstantsoftheinclusionandthematrixmaterial.Thepresentcriterionwillreducetotheconventionaloneastheinclusionhavingthesameelasticbehaviorasthematrixmaterial.Theproposedsolutionsareingoodagreementwithdetailedfiniteelementanalysisandmeasurement.
