摘要
Inthispaper,westudytheelectromagneticscatteringfromatwodimen-sionallargerectangularopencavityembeddedinaninfinitegroundplane,whichismodelledbyHelmholtzequations.Byintroducingnonlocaltransparentboundarycon-ditions,theproblemintheopencavityisreducedtoaboundeddomainproblem.AhypersingularintegraloperatorandaweaklysingularintegraloperatorareinvolvedintheTMandTEcases,respectively.Anewsecond-orderToeplitztypeapproximationandasecond-orderfinitedifferenceschemeareproposedforapproximatingthehyper-singularintegraloperatorontheapertureandtheHelmholtzinthecavity,respectively.TheexistenceanduniquenessofthenumericalsolutionintheTEcaseareestablishedforarbitrarywavenumbers.Afastalgorithmforthesecond-orderapproximationispro-posedforsolvingthecavitymodelwithlayeredmedia.Numericalresultsshowthesecond-orderaccuracyandefficiencyofthefastalgorithm.Moreimportantisthatthealgorithmiseasytoimplementasapreconditionerforcavitymodelswithmoregeneralmedia.
