Lithium-aluminum-cobalt-nickeloxideLiAlxCoyNi1xyO2particles,generallyusedascathodeoflithiumbattery,werepreparedbychemicalcoprecipitationfromanaqueoussolutionofLiOH,Al(NO3)3,Co(NO3)2andNi(NO3)2withNH4OH.XRD,SEMandFTIRwereusedtoexaminetheeffectofnickelcontentontheproduct.FTIRpatternsshowedthatincreaseinnickelcontentdecreasedtheabsorptionstrengthofthepeakofspinelstructureoftheproduct,attributedtotheoccupationbynickelinthealuminumsites.Particlesizeandelectricalpropertiesofthelithium-aluminum-cobalt-nickeloxide(abbreviatedasLACNO)particleswerealsodetermined.
