ACAD-basedinspectionplanningstrategyforvideomeasuringinstrumentisproposedtoimprovemanufacturingeffectiveness.ThesystemconsistsofavideoprobethatenablesitselftoinspectaworkpiecebasedonaCADmodel.ThemeasurementsoftwareincludesCAIPmoduleandMDPmodule.TheCAIPmoduleisdevelopedbasedonaCADdevelopmentplatformwhosekernelistheOpenCASCADE.Theentiresystemwastested,andrelevantexamplesshowthatthesystemcanaccomplishautomaticinspectionplanningtaskforcommonpartsefficiently.
