Yunnanhasattractedgreatattentionfromtheworldforitsideallocation,advantagedclimaticcondition,richbiologicalresourcesandcheaplaborforces.AlltheseadvantagedconditionsmakeYunnanbecomeoneofthemostpotentialplacesintheworldforflowerproductionandtrade.Inrecentyears,moreandmoreforeigncompa-niesfromdifferentcountrieshaveforestalledtheirfacilitiesinYunnan,joininginthedevelopmentprocessofYunnanfloricultureindustry.TheflowerindustryinYunnanProvincestartedtodeveloptowardstheendofthe1980s.Flowerwasonlyplantedonehectareoutputtotaled35,000yuan,andtheplantingareaoftheflowerhad17,000haandthesalesvolumeoftheflowershad6billionyuanin2006.YunnanProvinceaccountsfor50%ofthenation'stotalcutflowerproduction.Yunnan'sflowerindustryhasbecomeAsia'slargestfresh-cutflowerproductionandexportbaseandsproutbreedingandproductionbase.Andithassteppedintooneofthemajorfresh-cutflowerproductionareasintheworldandamodernflowertradingcenterthatisleadinginChina.
