Inthispaper,themicrostructureandhardnessofHG980Dheat-affectedzone(HAZ)atdifferentcoolingratet8/3werestudied,theimplantcriticalfracturestressunderthreediffusiblehydrogenconditionsweremeasured,andthehydrogen-inducedcracking(HIC)fractographofsteelHG980Dwereanalyzed.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatmartensiteexistsinHAZofHG980Dtillt8/3≥150s,thehardenquenchingtendencyofHG980Disgreater;Theimplantcriticalfracturestressisrelatedtodiffusiblehydrogencontentsignificantly,atlowhydrogenlevel,highrestraintstressisneededtonucleateHIC,thefractographismainlymicrovoidcoalescence,butathighhydrogenlevel,onlysmallrestraintstresscancauseHICoccurrence,thefractographismainlyquasicleavage.Itisveryimportanttochooseultra-lowhydrogenweldingconsumabletoweldsteelHG980Dtopreventhydrogen-inducedcracking.
