简介:Usingmoleculardynamics(MD)methodscombiningwithtwo-stepradiationheatingmodel,themechanismsofablationandthethermodynamicstatesatNisurfaceunderfemtosecondlaserirradiationareinvestigated.Simulationresultsshowthatthemainmechanismsofablationareevaporationandtensilestressesgeneratedinsidethetarget.Thevelocityofstresswaveispredictedtobenearlyequaltosoundvelocity.Theratesofablationatdifferentfluencesobtainedfromsimulationsareingoodagreementwithexperimentaldata.Superheatingphenomenonisalsodiscovered.
简介:Weobserveanonlinearresponseofadual-wavelengthNd:YAGlaserwhensubjectedtolow-frequencyperiodicmodulationsofcavitylosses.Themodulationfrequencyisfarfromtherelaxationoscillationfrequency.Theharmonicresonancesofthetwolaserwavelengthsassociatedwithantiphaseintensityoscillationsaredemonstratedandresonancesuptothefourthorderwereobserved.Forrelativelyweakmodulation,theintensityoscillationfrequencyofthelaserisequaltothemodulationfrequency.Harmonicresonancesoccurunderastrongermodulation.Wefindthatmoreharmoniccomponentsappearwhenthemodulationfrequencyisincreased.Furthermore,withenhancingthemodulation,thedominantfrequencyoftheintensityoscillationsofbothwavelengthsisshiftedtowardthehigher-orderharmonicfrequency.更多还原
简介:Ultrashortpulsesweregeneratedinpassivelymode-lockedNd:YAGandNd:GdVO4laserspumpedbyapulsedlaserdiodewith10-Hzrepetitionrate.Stablemode-lockedpulsetrainswereproducedwiththepulsewidthof10ps.Theevolutionofthemode-lockedpulsewasobservedintheexperimentandwasdiscussedindetail.ComparingthepulseevolutionsofNd:YAGandNd:GdVO4lasers,wefoundthatthebuilduptimeofthesteady-statemode-lockingwithsemiconductorsaturableabsorbermirrors(SESAMs)wasrelevanttotheupper-statelifetimeandtheemissioncross-sectionofthegainmedium.
