ApresentstatusofthediagnosticsinEASTispresented.AsaveryimportantstepoftheEASTproject,tensofdiagnosticswereemployedforoperationandprotectionofthemachine,plasmacontrolandphysicsanalysistoaccommodaterequirementforthestudyonplasmaperformanceinEASTwithupgradedradiofrequency(RF)injectionpowerupto4MW(bothLHCDandICRF)intheforthcomingyears.Recently,newdiagnosticsaresetuptoprovideseveralprofilesofkeyplasmaparametersforthefurtherevaluationandbetterunderstandingoftheplasmaperformanceandphysicsinEAST,includinga25-channelThomsonscatteringsystemfordensityandelectrontemperature,ametalbolometryforradiatedpower,anX-raycrystalspectroscopyforbothionandelectrontemperaturesandplasmarotationvelocity,etc.Itisexpectedthatthesediagnosticswouldplayanimportantroleindataanalysisandinterpretationcombinedwithintegratedmodeling.
